TECH TALK

    Welcome to the civil engineering arena! This event will set you free to carry out a research on the advancements in civil engineering and present them in the most fascinating and captivating manner! But before that you need to scratch your grey matter really hard, the one who scratches the hardest and the smartest-WINS!!

    The suggested topics for the paper presentation are:

    1. Self compacting concrete/Stamped Concrete/High Performance Concrete

    2. Stressed Ribbon Bridges

    3. Risk Management and Safety Engineering

    4. Bus rapid transit system (BRTS)

    5. Structural Optimization Techniques

    6. Repair And Strengthening Of Concrete Structures

    7. Environmental Modeling techniques and processes

    8. Carbon Capture and Sequestration Techniques

    9. Use of Geosynthetics and Geotextiles in Soil and base Stabilisation

    10. Trenchless Technology

     

    Students can also present topics related to civil engineering other than these.

  1. The short listing shall be done on the basis of an abstract of the topic to be presented.
  2. Abstract should be limited to 300 words and it should give an appropriate idea of what the topic of presentation is all about and what shall be the frame of the presentation.
  3. The abstract should be mailed to infra.nitkkr@gmail.com latest by 2400 hrs, Apr'20, 2010.
  4. The subject of the mail is to be kept as "Abstract for Tech Talk".
  5. The selected entries shall be informed within a day after the final day of submission and thereafter a detailed report of the presentation in IEEE format has to be mailed to the same ID latest by Apr 22, 2010.

  7. The number of pages must not exceed 10 including the cover page.
  8. Three hard copies of the report should also be submitted to the coordinator 3 hrs before the presentation.
