Preparation of Inventory of Public Authorities under RTI Act,
2005.

|
The Under Secretary to Government of India, Ministry
of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, New Delhi
has requested to take immediate necessary action as per the recommendations of the
Administrative Reforms Commission contained in clause (iii) of para 1 of the letter
No. O.M. No. 1/12/2007-IR dated 31st
July, 2007. The Second Administrative Reforms Commission in its first report has
made the following recommendation at para 1, clause (iii): -

|
“Each public
authority should have the details of all public authorities subordinate
to it at the immediately next level. This should continue till the last level is
reached. All these details should be made available on the websites of the respective
public authorities, in a hierarchical form.” |

|
|
The Government of India has accepted the said recommendation.
In
view of the above, the following details may be made available on the website of
the Institute: -
1.
The
Institute is functioning under the ambit, financial and administrative control of
the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education,
New Delhi
w.e.f 14.5.2003.
